Visual Artist — Berlin

I am a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, textile, and installation, exploring the body, both my own and in relation to others, within constructed environments. I study visual arts at Universität der Künste Berlin and use materials I can find or afford, such as wood, string, and fabric, to create worlds that reflect on the human condition: our capacity to feel, imagine, and transform.
My work is informed by a childhood spent close to nature. Memories of cold soil, wet wood, and the vibrant colours of the forest continue to shape my approach. Growing up in a large family as the youngest member, I was constantly surrounded by others and used to play, explore and story tell. I spent much of my time roleplaying characters, building shelters, and making fires, experiences that influence of I make art: bright, playfull and improvised.
At the same time, I came of age in a period marked by rising fascism and environmental collapse. This contrast, between early experiences of innocence and naivety and a world shaped by extraction and genocidal violence, creates an ongoing tension in my work, one that both unsettles and motivates me.
More recently, I have begun incorporating performance into my practice. By making my own body a subject, I have started to confront a sense of disconnection shaped by a heteronormative socialization as a man. This process has become a way of re establishing a relationship between my body and identity. I see this not only as a personal experience, but as something shared: a broader condition in which suppressed expression can turn into alienation or projection. My work seeks to open spaces where bodies can exist with greater agency, and where relationships between people and their environments are felt as interconnected and fluid.
